BUCK.
Twenty years reading buildings. Now Ian Hervé Buchanan reads paint — bold acrylic works born on the Brighton seafront.
Welcome
to the show
I am Buck, a builder who has been lucky enough to be involved in many interesting architectural and interior design projects. The covid era gave me the time and the opportunity to express myself in art. Art and design are a passion to me.
My other passion is the sea. I am a keen sailor and have been fortunate to sail on many deliveries in various parts of the world. The welfare of our seas is a concern of mine — many of my paintings carry references to the sea, in particular to the tale of 52 Azul, the world's loneliest whale, who is still alive today.
"I try to make people think outside the box — using art to provoke thinking and emotion on various aspects of our world today."
Enjoy the show. Each painting has a story. I'll leave you to connect.
